Townsville Judo Shines in Mackay
On Sunday 3 November 2024, eight of our Townsville Judo Club members (4 juniors and 4 seniors) took to the mat for the last regional competition of the year, the NQ Regional V - Sue Hill Memorial in Mackay.
For five out of the eight it was their very first judo comp and we could not be prouder of their courage and sportsmanship. Every one of our players helped bring back 4 Gold + 4 Silver + 2 Bronze!
Junior Mixed Under 32kg: Shiloh, Silver
Junior Boys Under 42kg: Isaiah, Gold & Harry, Bronze
Junior Boys Over 50kg: Tait, Silver
Senior Men Under 81kg: Brayden Shepherd, Silver
Senior Men Under 90kg: Nathan Rickards, Gold
Senior Men Under 100kg: Brent Rickards, Gold
Senior Men Over 100kg: Jack Clitheroe, Silver
Senior Men Open: Brent Rickards, Gold & Nathan Rickards Bronze
