2024 NQ Regional V - Sue Hill Memorial
All North Queensland Regional Competitions are a Queensland State Team Qualification event.
Open to all eligible Judo Australia members. This is also an ideal opportunity for less experienced players to compete against people from other clubs in their own weight and age categories, thereby gaining valuable competition knowledge and competence.
Beginners are encouraged to enter, especially kids!
Mat Areas
2 mat areas will be used throughout the day.
Weigh-in
Weigh-in Friday night from 5pm to 7pm, remote weigh-ins available on enquiry.
Weigh-in on the day allowed
- 8:00am to 8:30am for Mons; Junior Boys and Girls; Senior Boys and Girls
- 10:00am to 10:30am for all other weight divisions
Changes to weight divisions will be allowed at time of weigh-in.
If you are unable to weigh-in at this time please contact the Competition Administrator, Wayne Palmer, on mackaykodokanjudoclub@hotmail.com prior to the event.
Competition
Boys and Girls divisions will kick off at 9:00am.
Men and Women's divisions will kick off at approximately 11:00am.
Team Events may be organised by demand on the day.
Entry cost - $35 for the first division + $15 for each extra division selected.
Late fees will apply after 11:00pm , Friday 1st November - $45 for the first division and $20 for each extra division selected.
Gi Requirements
All players competing in the Regional Shiai Championship must, as a minimum, wear a white judogi.
Notes
As per the Judo Queensland Sporting Code, mouth guards are permitted provided they are properly fitted by a dentist. Unfitted mouth guards shall not be permitted. The player must provide documentation prior to the competition to the Events Coordinator at nqregional@judoqueensland.org.au. Additionally, the player must also notify the mat Referee that they have a mouth guard each time they enter the mat to compete.
Competition in Mossman: 2024 NQ Regional IV

Yellow and Orange Grading
Senior Members looking to grade to a yellow or orange belt, please join us at 9am this Saturday for the Grading Session / Workshop. For those who can't make it, another date will be arranged.
Please note there will be a $20 grading fee payable by cash or bank transfer.
Junior grading followed by a 'mini competition' will be taking place at the same time.
